Julian Wells is a dedicated legal practitioner with a wealth of experience in civil litigation, particularly involving high-stakes cases that intersect with state and corporate entities. Currently serving as an Associate at Pacific Law Limited, Julian brings nearly five years of rich legal experience, most recently as State Counsel at the Office of the Attorney General in Shefa Province, Vanuatu, where he has excelled in representing the Republic of Vanuatu and its state agencies.

During his tenure from 2021 to October 2024 at the Attorney General’s office, Julian has adeptly handled civil litigation matters under the supervision of the Solicitor General, focusing on the intricacies of legal representation for state agencies and officials. His commitment to community impact is underscored by his experience working alongside DLA Piper Solicitor, Madeleine Hogan, where he engaged in in-house legal work linked to significant infrastructure project management for the Vanuatu Government.

Prior to this role, Julian honed his skills as a paralegal at Ridgway Blake Lawyers in Port Vila. There, he was responsible for a variety of legal tasks, including conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and assisting in trials, all under the guidance of esteemed partners Nigel Morrison and Gary Blake.

Julian’s academic credentials are equally impressive, with a Bachelor’s degree in Law from The University of the South Pacific (2014-2019) and a Professional Diploma in Legal Practice completed in 2020. He is admitted to the Fiji High Court and is currently awaiting admission to practice law in Vanuatu. Highly ambitious and adaptable, Julian is known for his ability to think on his feet and navigate ever-changing environments effectively.
